This enabling project will enhance overall Domestic terminal capacity, passenger flow and operational efficiency with the construction of a new Gate 6 holdroom and a passenger connector bridge linking the Domestic and International terminals; thereby providing long-term holdroom and aircraft gate capacity. The project also includes critical building systems, site and infrastructure enhancement such as the provision of new high-efficiency glazing, mechanical and plumbing systems to serve the expansion, new electrical service, relocation of water lines and sanitary piping, and the realignment of an electrical duct bank. Please refer to the accompanying Project Manual and Drawings. This work generally consists of the following scope elements: 1) Demolition and/or modification of portions of the existing domestic terminal building; 2) New foundation work and structural framing; 3) Civil site work; 4) Mechanical, Electrical, Security, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems; 5) 11,000 GSF of new interior terminal construction; and 6) Gate hold room furnishings.
