The City is requesting proposals to construct a berm and rehabilitate a ditch on Dowd Road. Dowd Road drains to a detention pond beyond where the roadway terminates in a cul-de-sac. Part of the berm needs reconstruction, and the ditch will also be regraded and armored with riprap. The breach in the existing berm will be repaired, and the berm will be extended to the Dowd Road Right-of-Way. This berm extension will require careful grading on the 123 Dowd Road property (Bangor Steel) to accommodate surface drainage along the newly constructed berm. We are requesting a lump sum project proposal to include: A. Provide a designated project manager. B. Provide a construction schedule. C. Mobilization D. Construction signage E. Acquiring a street-opening permit from the City Engineer (fee waived). F. Coordination with landowners for any access outside of the easement area. G. Site preparation, including but not limited to vegetation removal, litter removal, establishing access, and installing erosion and sedimentation controls. H. Approximately 125 cubic yards of common excavation. This will include reusing approximately 75 cubic yards of material onsite. Reuse of additional material will be considered for approval by the resident engineer. I. An estimated 50 cubic yards of offsite disposal for unsuitable materials. J. An estimated 50 yards of imported clean fill suitable for detention pond berm construction. K. Placing approximately 15 cubic yards of 6” D50 rip rap L. Restoration of disturbed areas M. All incidentals
