Location #1: Paving TH#3 – Route 35/Chester Road beginning at the intersection of Wright Orchard Road traveling north 5,000’ +/- X 22’ X 3”. The above-described section will consist of shim and overlay. The contractor shall mill the 5,000’ +/- X 22’ X 3” and then shim the existing road 1 inch with type IV hot mix to regain crown and shed water and to fill in ruts at the discretion of the contractor. A top course of 2 inches shall be laid with type III hot mix compacted. This project requires Tack Coat prior to paving. Rubber tire roller and two steel drum rollers are required for the job. The beginning and end of the project need to have joints ground. Adequate transitions to match intersecting roadways and driveways are required. All paved areas must be 22 feet side to side to conform to the State of Vermont Standards. The contractor is responsible for flaggers and any other traffic control necessary in accordance with the State of Vermont Agency of Transportation and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
