BIDDERS are advised that the bid is for all materials, equipment, manpower and services, required to cut and cap existing pilings and install approximately 113 lineal feet of 36” high extruded aluminum posts and railing. - The pilings should be cut and leveled with the existing decking boards and capped with UV-stabilized polypropylene flat black pile caps, as manufactured by Pilecaps.com (or equal) sized to cover the existing pile diameter. Proper field cutting of the piling caps will be required by the contractor. Proper fasteners, as recommended by the manufacturer, shall be used. - Thirteen (13) posts shall be 6”x 6” treated wood posts with a diamond cut top to shed water. Posts shall match existing. - The contractor shall provide eleven (11) 44” extruded aluminum posts which shall be Ultra Signature 2.5” x 2.5” x .100 wall boss posts with a 4-hole, 3/8” x 5” flange and mount cover kit in Satin Black. - The contractor shall provide twenty-two (22) Ultra Signature Adams Post to Post 36” x 60” UAR200 2Level Square Panel and hardware in Satin Black with twenty-two (22) Adams Level 2 pc Bracket 4pk and Foot Block in Satin Black. Pickets shall be 34 1/16” height and 0.75” Sq x .050” thickness. The spacing between pickets shall be 3.625”. - The railing shall be fastened to the existing railing in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. (Photo of existing railing for reference). - The installed railing system shall meet all requirements listed in the 2018 International Building Code (IBC) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). - The contractor shall remove and dispose of all debris, to a licensed DSWA facility prior to final payment. - The City Riverwalk area will remain open to the public during installation of the railing. The contractor shall not impede the public’s use of the facility during the project. He shall also protect the work area during construction from members of the public entering the work area. This may require the use of signs, barricades, cones or other protective measures.
