The Outagamie County Department of Recycling and Solid Waste operates a Tri-County single stream Material Recovery Facility (MRF) located at 1419 Holland Rd in Appleton, WI. We are seeking a qualified contractor for the construction of approximately 7,500 sf single story canopy building addition to the MRF. The addition will be located south of the existing recovery facility. The addition will house the existing glass cleanup system, post residue compactor, and an employee break area. The addition will be constructed of corrugated sheet metal, concrete masonry (cmu), and steel columns, beams and joists. Reference the following for the scope of work: Drawings & Specifications by SCS Engineers titled “Outagamie Cty MRF – Canopy Add.”, 19 pages. Other project notes/specifications: Reference ECS Midwest, LLC’s Geotechnical Engineer Report dated November 22, 2024 (38 pages). SCS Engineers and the County will be responsible for the plan submittal to the State and associated costs. Contractors will be responsible for all other required permits (and associated costs). Entire project must include a one year warranty for workmanship and materials. At the initial project kick-off meeting the Contractor must provide the following information: A construction schedule/timeline. A written sequence of work assuring current production operations will not be affected. A shoring plan for existing equipment during concreter removal and excavation.
