This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the Agency of Digital Services (“the State”) to gather information and/or cost estimates, from innovators, entrepreneurs, vendors, and experts (“Respondents”) to identify modern approaches to development and implementation of a message switching system that links together NLETS, NCIC, state, local, and federal law enforcement, justice, and public safety entities in the exchange of critical information (“VLETS Solution”). Instead of asking for a particular product, the State is identifying the problem and seeking solutions to yield comprehensive and effective results. The ultimate goal is to better inform the State’s investment of taxpayer dollars and find solutions in the best interest of the people of Vermont. Information received by the State will be reviewed for purposes of the stated objectives for this RFI, which may include exploration of available goods or services or solutions, how such offerings may meet the needs of the State, and the costs associated with implementation of such offerings. The State shall not be held liable for any costs incurred by Respondents in the preparation of their submission.
