The OPM’s scope of work generally involves representing the Awarding Authority and shall act as the Awarding Authority’s agent and consultant throughout this project as outlined in MGL Chapter 149, Section 44A ½. As such, the OPM shall be responsible for the management of the Project as the Awarding Authority’s representative and shall report to the Awarding Authority. The OPM’s duties shall include, but not be limited to, providing advice and consultation with respect to value engineering and commissioning of the building and its systems, pursuant to MGL Chapter 149, Section 44D ½ or 44D 3/4 when applicable, scheduling and oversight of the general contractor for the project, ensuring the preparation of time schedules which shall serve as control standards for monitoring performance of the building project, and assisting in project evaluation including, but not limited to, written evaluations of the performance of the contractors and subcontractors.
