Type of camera: Cameras must be digital and be triggered by heat and passive motion. They also must be able to take a time-lapse photo daily. Cameras should be intended for outdoor, year-round use. Size: Camera dimensions must be equal to or less than 4 ½” L x 3” W x 5 ¾” H. Security: Cameras must be a camouflage or dark color (e.g., brown, dark green). Weather functionality: Cameras must be fully waterproof and operational in temperatures from -20°F - 100°F. Camera ID: Cameras must be labeled with a unique serial number or identifier for the camera. Batteries: Cameras must be able to take at least 6,000 photos (a minimum of 4,000 daytime and 2,000 nighttime) using fully charged 1.2V 2800mAH NiMH AA rechargeable batteries. Removable memory card: Cameras must be able to use 32-128 GB SDXC or SDHC compatible cards that are commercially available. Memory cards do not need to be included with the purchased cameras. Mounting: Cameras must have a tripod mount on the bottom of camera (1/4-20 threaded tripod hole) and the ability to use a standard sized cable lock to attach the camera to a tree. The use of the tripod mount and cable lock must keep the camera attached to a tree while still allowing access to the memory card and battery compartment. Sensor Test Mode: Cameras must have a separate setting that allows user to test camera detection once camera is mounted to the tree (e.g., a red light flashing to indicate movement). Battery Life Meter: Camera must have a battery life meter visible to user that is accurate for 1.2V 2800mAH NiMH AA rechargeable batteries. Picture Counter: Camera must have a picture counter visible to users that shows the number of pictures on the memory card. Image details: Cameras must take photos with dimensions of 1600 x 1200 pixels and without anything additional visible in photos (i.e., no brand name, logo visible, etc. on photos). Flash: Cameras must use invisible or near invisible flash technology to achieve clear nighttime photos out to 30 feet. Range, Angle, Field of View: Cameras must have a detection range of at least 60 feet, detection angle of at least 30°, and a field of view angle of at least 40°. Trigger Function: Cameras must take 3 photos upon trigger with a trigger speed of less than 1 second and recovery time of 15 seconds between triggers.
