The City of Morristown is requesting proposals from qualified parties interested in purchasing and developing approximately 14.8 acres of land on Blackburn Drive – a portion recently subdivided off of 691 & 701 N Liberty Hill Road – which is recorded with the Register of Deeds as Plat Book P Page 135 and is currently owned by the City of Morristown. The intent of the RFP is to consider offers for the purchase and development of the property. The property is currently zoned R2, Medium Density Residential District. It is anticipated that reasonable proposals would include uses consistent with the existing zoning, but this does not prohibit the submission of a proposal that would include a re-zoning requirement (Any re-zoning would additionally have to follow the standard application process for re-zoning). Note: there is a small portion of the eastern edge of property zoned LI, but it is expected this could be corrected to show the zoning district boundary matches the property boundary in this area.
