The Project generally involves the construction of stone lined swales to repair stormwater gullies located at the pipe outfalls from the Chrisemily Lane and Sammanikki Circle drainage networks, and related activities. The following items are included but may not be limited to the manpower, equipment, materials and incidentals necessary to complete the referenced work: A. General Requirements – Site Work Contractor 1) At no additional cost to the Owner, the Site Work Contractor shall assume sole responsibility for construction methods and means. Methods and materials shall conform to the latest standards of the State of Vermont, the Town of Milton and all permits and approvals for the project. In the event of conflict, the more stringent specification will apply. 2) At no additional cost to the Owner, the Site Work Contractor shall be responsible for all work and materials shown or described in the specifications to make the work complete. Manufacturer's product specifications shall be submitted for all materials to the Engineer for approval prior to installation. This shall include all aggregates, topsoil, bituminous concrete and binder, EPSC products, pipe and any other specialty product proposed to complete the work. 3) The Site Work Contractor shall contact Dig Safe and other non-member utility companies prior to excavation, verify utility intersections, report potential conflicts to the Owner and Engineer and verify all temporary benchmarks before use. 4) At no additional cost to the Owner, it shall be the sole responsibility of the Site Work Contractor to protect workers and the public from any and all hazards connected with the construction work and to perform all work in conformance with OSHA and VOSHA Regulation. 5) All backfill, sheeting, shoring, dewatering, clearing, grubbing, off-site disposal of excavation, erosion control, erosion control maintenance, traffic control, grading, testing & disinfection and all incidentals shall be included as part of the Work.
