4.1 Prior to demolition, exterior fire doors must be covered to prevent damage to them. Vendor shall demolish the existing slab (approximately 56 inches wide by 13 feet long by 10 inches thick) on deck and rusted out metal braces and all sheetrock/plaster below. Upper handrails should be removed prior to demolition and replaced prior to final inspection. 4.2 Vendor is responsible for all clean up and disposal of construction debris. Vendors must provide their own method of disposal of construction debris. 4.3 Vendor shall remove the outside light above the ground floor door prior to demolition and reinstall prior to final inspection. 4.4 Vendor shall install a new metal deck Q decking or comparable), steel reinforcement (rebar a minimum of 5’8”, maximum 3’4”, minimum of 3” steel beams, maximum 4’ steel beams) and concrete slab (approximately 10 inch thick by 56 inches wide by 13 feet long) to match existing concrete slab. Slots may be cut into the brick to support the steel reinforcements. Any collateral damage to the brick must be repaired by the Vendor at no additional cost to the Agency. 4.5 Vendor shall replace the new ceiling below the concrete slab with white vinyl soffit. 4.6 Vendor shall patch spalling at second level door threshold. Patching shall not hinder the proper door operation.
