1. Jail Grease Interceptor Replacement 1. Jail's Grease Interceptor: new 1900-gallon gravity grease interceptor is sized to adequately serve existing kitchen. a. Install Type T inlet protection per CWS Standard drawing No. 920 on sheet C3.0 at nearest downstream catch basin. b. Install new 1900 Galon Precast grease interceptor. Install base of unit at 1% max slope to the outlet. Assumed RIM= 189.3 +/-, field verify and match existing pavement elevation. See detail on sheet C3.0. Provide extensions and risers as needed to meet finish grade. c. Install new clean out assembly per detail 1/C3.0 d. Connect to existing 6" sanitary with 6" Diameter PVC ASTM D3034, SDR35 sanitary pipe at 1 % min. slope. contractor to field verify elevation of existing pipe to ensure 1 % min. slope. e. Replace pavement damaged during construction and with sawcut lines with new pavement per detail 3/C3.0. match existing finish grades and provide hot asphalt seal and sand coat at all sawcut edges. Contractor to also replace pavement striping damaged during construction. f. Decommission in place existing grease interceptor: Utilities must be located and marked prior to commencement of construction. Contractor to protect existing grease interceptor until new grease interceptor is ready to be installed. Coordinate with county staff and EOR on timing and sequencing. Contractor to follow Oregon administrative rules for decommissioning. Existing vault with 1 1/2"-0" crushed rock (or approved equivalent) comparted to 95% per ASTM D1557. The cover shall be removed before filling, and the fill shall not extend above the top of the vertical portions of the side walls or above the level of the outlet pipe until the vault has been inspected. After approval, fill to the bottom of new pavement section. 2. Jail's Drain line modification Abandoning exiting sanitary sewer branch line serving a drinking fountain and floor sink. The floor sink shall be reconnected to the existing grease waste and the drinking fountain shall be removed. As an additive alternate, the drinking fountain shall be reconnected to the existing grease waste line. a. Existing drinking fountain to be removed. Plumbing contractor to cap existing utilities behind wall (west, vend and cold water). b. Alternate #1: Existing drinking fountain waste to be tied-into riser in wall of existing 4" grease waste routed east to existing 4" grease waste system. c. Existing 4" sanitary waste to be decommissioned. Plumbing contractor to cap existing lines at fixture. d. Plumbing contractor to connect existing floor sink waste into existing 4" grease waste. Contractor saw-cut floor as needed and patch and match when done. Plumbing contractor to provide existing floor sink with new solids strainer. Change drain from pre-wash sink so that existing pre-wash sink with garbage disposal will drain to existing floor sink.
