The State of Alaska, Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive project management services for the purpose of navigating the purchase of rural housing units and / or professional office space by way of the awarded federal HUD grants. The purpose of these professional services will be to work with DPS staff to ensure compliance with the requirements governing grant utilization, compliance with applicable federal and state of Alaska laws, and responsible and efficient processes. As authorized by identified DPS staff, the successful offeror shall provide the following: - Navigate the necessary inspection processes as defined and required by the HUD grants and the Alaska Department of Natural Resources (DNR), including any required environmental studies - Facilitate the purchase process of the properties to including coordinating with the seller, DNR, the applicable real estate company and/or agent, and title company to complete the purchase - Facilitate and/or coordinate any necessary or requested renovation of qualifying purchased or currently own properties utilizing the HUD grant(s) to include coordinating with identified qualified contractors and providing project management services to complete authorized projects - After already-identified properties have been addressed, identify appropriate residential housing units and professional office space units in rural communities as designated by the Department The successful offeror will be working with DPS staff including Command-level commissioned officers, grant managers, procurement and facilities personnel, and on-location officers.
