Notes The Russell Road Recreation Complex project involves developing design drawings, special provisions, and a construction cost estimate for a 7.5-acre park, the conversion of a segment of the Pittman Wash channel into green infrastructure, and related amenities. These include a solar-lit 100-space parking lot, a ½-mile trail, a maintenance area, a play area, a plaza, a kiosk, trail signage, public art, shade structures, fitness nodes, and a public restroom. Public outreach will determine whether to include pickleball or roller hockey courts. Since part of the Pittman Wash will be covered, an engineer is required to propose alternative design solutions and prepare a drainage study with hydraulic modeling. As the channel contains running water, securing an environmental permit is necessary.
