The Additions and Renovations to Hopewell Elementary School project is a multi-phased plan to provide additional classrooms, a new gymnasium, an updated and expanded library, additional cafeteria seating, and associated infrastructure upgrades and site improvements. Phase 1 will include site grading, significant site utility improvements, and the construction of a 12 classroom, two-story masonry classroom building. The intended period of construction is 12 months. Phase 2 will include the demolition of an existing structure, associated site work, and the construction of a new masonry gymnasium and music building, as well as the connectors between the phases. The intended period of construction for Phase 2 is 10 to 12 months. Phase 3 will include re-purposing the previous gymnasium into a renovated library space and constructing a masonry addition to the cafeteria. During all phases, the CM will work closely with the Architect and school personnel to ensure schedule constrains are met and the safety of students is always maintained as a top priority.
