The City of Riverside General Services Department (hereinafter referred to as “the City”), is seeking an experienced, responsible, capable, and professional company with proven experience in restaurant management and operations (hereinafter “Company”) to lease space and operate the City Hall Café (hereinafter “the Café”), a high-quality restaurant within the first floor of City Hall, located at 3900 Main Street, Riverside, California. Currently comprised of a food preparation area, display, counters and seating area encompassing approximately 2,200 square feet. The City is considering sharing this space and will be especially interested in proposals that will significantly reduce the total footprint of the Café. To reduce the footprint, the City would entertain removing any and all fixtures, furniture and food service equipment (FFE) while retaining any FFE for reuse necessary for the new operations of the proposed Café Company. Public restrooms are available on the first floor. Outdoor seating is available and there are two (2) dedicated parking spots for use by the operator. Public parking is available (and subject to all applicable parking fees and restrictions) in a lot next to the building and at a parking structure adjacent hereto (see Exhibit G – Parking). It is the goal of the City to contract with one firm capable of successfully providing, at a minimum, the following items for consumption: fresh, nutritious and attractive breakfast foods, snacks, soft drinks, bottled water, coffees, teas, chocolate, sandwiches, salads, lunch items, chips, yogurt, and other high-quality foods that may be pre-prepared or prepared on the premises. The Company will be responsible for providing all labor, including management, supervision, supplies, materials and additional equipment as required necessary to provide food services as specified herein and in the proposal response.
