The Land Bank proposes to design and build a new mixed-use maintenance facility structure at 125 Somerset Road (“Main Campus”) and two new structures, a new storage and residential, for employee housing at 166 Hummock Pond Road (“Satellite Campus”), both properties being Land Bank owned land. The new structures will replace old, outdated, or derelict existing structures which, due to age and decline, can no longer adequately serve their intended purposes and are therefore planned for relocation off site or demolition. The new proposed maintenance facility structures are expected to house equipment, machinery, supplies and, in the case of the Main campus, to provide office space. Specifically, the storage structure on the Main Campus shall be a two-story mixed-use structure of up to 2,000 sq. ft. consisting of a 3-bay garage for storing and repair of work vehicles and machinery and an attached workshop space on the ground level with an office for maintenance facility staff on the 2nd floor. This structure will require heat, electricity, and plumbing. The storage structure on the Satellite Campus shall be a single-story structure of up to 2,000 sq. ft. intended to house equipment, machinery, supplies and related maintenance resources. This will be a cold storage structure, requiring only electricity but not requiring heat or plumbing. The new dwelling is intended to create a duplex to provide much needed housing of up to two employees and their families. The preference is to install a modular duplex to optimize available residential units. The Proposers should have experience overseeing design/building projects in industrial facilities, residential construction, modular installation, and knowledge of zoning regulations and building codes.
