1. Description of Services - Pest Control Services on Public Buildings and Parks: Pest control on public buildings and parks will be based on monthly service visits and additional calls as issues arise. When completing the work, the technicians must obtain a signature from a City employee verifying that the work was completed. Any invoices submitted without proof of work will not be paid. All work not covered on the list below must be authorized in writing by the Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Public Works prior to completing the work. 2. Description of Services - Rodent Baiting on Sewer Manholes: Baiting services to be completed on Fridays and coordinated with the Water and Sewer Assistant Superintendent. The technician should report to Chelsea City Yard, 380 Beacham Street, at 8:00 AM every Friday during service months (except for public holidays). The technician will travel in a city vehicle and will be accompanied by a DPW or WSD employee on all work. The work will be divided into 6 routes covering all manholes in the city. When completing the work, the technicians must obtain a signature from a WSD or DPW supervisor verifying that the work was completed. Any invoices submitted without proof of work will not be paid. All work not covered on the list below must be authorized in writing by the Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Public Works prior to completing the work. This service will be completed weather permitting and may be cancelled due to cold temperatures at the discretion of the Department of Public Works. 3. Description of Services - Rodent Control on Private Residences/Properties: Baiting services to be completed on private residences as authorized by the Department of Inspectional Services (ISD) of the City of Chelsea. ISD will have a signed Rodent Abatement Waiver completed by the resident and filed with the department for every property handled by the contractor. The work will be overseen and supervised by an ISD Inspector. Contractor must submit a weekly report to ISD documenting all addresses and all services provided for private residences. This work includes filling of any and all holes made my rodents in private property. This could include filling holes in buildings and structures using foam to prevent rodents from entering said properties. Baiting on private property shall primarily consist of anticoagulant rodenticide but the technician must also be able to deploy contraceptive bait if determined by the directors of ISD and DPW to be necessary. Technician shall monitor the site and return to replace bait or fill additional holes as required until rodent activity is reduced. When completing the work, the technicians must obtain a signature from an ISD inspector confirming that the work was completed. Any invoices submitted without proof of work will not be paid. All work not covered on the list below must be authorized in writing by the Director of Inspectional Services, Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Public Works, or the City Manager of Chelsea.
