Body Construction It shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder to provide a trailer which will be certified as an 80,000 lbs. G.V.W.R. trailer, and referenced as such on the certificate of origin, and said trailer will qualify to apply for a Massachusetts Reducible Load Permit of 99,000 lbs. Steel: The entire body structure shall be constructed of a minimum of 12 gauge, hi-tensile steel with a minimum of 50,000 pound yield strength and continuously welded into an integral assembly. Sidewall: The sidewall shall be 102" high and be constructed from 12 gauge, 50,000 pound hitensile steel. Vertical Bracing: Shall be of 3" x 6" formed channel 12-gauge hi-tensile steel set at 90° to the bottom rail on 24" centers and continuously welded to the body side walls. Top Rail Cross Brace: Top rail cross braces (Center and rear) will consist of 4” X 4" X ¼” tubing.
