Flooring must be: 1. Resinous epoxy layered seamless flooring. 2. Installed and provided by vendor. 3. FDA/USDA accepted incidental food contact. 4. Chemical and abrasion resistant. 5. Skid resistant. DEMOLITION REQUIREMENTS - Demolition of existing flooring must be completed to remove tile and grout bed of existing flooring or any other material that would inhibit bonding of new flooring. The contractor must be responsible for providing any equipment and air compressors. Disposal of material will be at Contractor’s cost. KITCHEN SPECIFICATIONS - The area is 20’ x 31’ and the dry goods storage area is 19’ x 10’. These dimensions need to be field verified by the Contractor. Contractor must: 1. Remove and dispose of all existing flooring located in the kitchen and dry goods storage room. This is mostly VCT with a smaller area of ceramic tile. 2. Clean and prepare concrete base to epoxy product specifications prior to installation of new product. 3. Ensure the new epoxy flooring is applied to provide coating and thickness per manufacturer standards. Flooring must be applied and angled to extend 4-6 inches vertically up the wall. 4. Use existing power, water, and designated restroom facilities on site. 5. Perform all work within normal business hours 8 AM – 4:30 PM ET. 6. Maintain responsibility for existing equipment and structures and the protection thereof.
