This Project includes replacement of the following structures as generally depicted on the Coffee Co PDB Bundle.kmz in the Reference Documents. SR-55 eastbound and westbound over I-24: The work consists of replacing the existing bridges over I-24 and constructing necessary roadway grade adjustments and transitions at both ends of the bridges. Work also includes other associated roadway and drainage improvements (including installation of pavement markings and safety protection devices). Additional right-of-way (ROW) and utility adjustments are not anticipated. Potential closure of the existing access ramp south of the bridge may be required during construction to accommodate grade adjustments. SR-2 (US Hwy 41/Hillsboro Road) over CFW Railroad: The work consists of replacing the existing bridge over the CFW Railroad and constructing necessary roadway grade adjustments and transitions at both ends of the bridge. Work also includes other associated roadway and drainage improvements, intersection improvements, pavement markings, safety protection devices, lighting, and utility adjustment work. The bridge’s typical section shall be compatible with the City of Manchester’s multimodal/active transportation plan. Additional ROW may be required to accommodate any grade adjustments needed to adhere to the Railroad’s clearance standards (if found to be substandard). Additionally, the DBT’s work includes introducing and evaluating additional operational improvements that may be constructed within the Project budget. Area Utilities: Charter Communications Duck River Electrical Membership Corporation Tennessee Valley Authority Ben Lomand Connect Elk River Public Utility District City of Manchester Bellsouth (dba AT&T) TDOT (for its ITS infrastructure and conduit through the interchange area) Railroad: The Department plans to execute a railroad agreement for this Project with CFW Railroad using the Functional Design Plans, which would include advanced bridge layout plans.
