Professional development observation and course software; KickUp responds to school district needs for a professional learning software application and service that manages professional learning opportunities and measures the time and activities associated with professional learning. This product will support us in evaluating the ongoing success of our academic interventions as well as the specific professional development that we provide. We also use it for data collection about instructional practices (Elementary PE Instructor Walkthroughs, ELD and EL Content Class Walkthroughs) and tracking progress on asynchronous professional learning. Currently, there are no similar products available to school districts that address these specific and unique needs. KickUp, Inc. is the sole source developer and provider of the KickUp software. There are currently no other similar products available to school districts that: • Collect both formative and summative data towards instructional progress so that performance evaluation is actually driving towards growth. • Capture data on the connection between professional learning programs and support with student growth goals • Surface the data principals and coaches need to provide just-in-time support while tracking towards completion of essential performance evaluation steps. • Create custom data capture instruments aligned to district goals/priorities. • Offer a centralized data repository, making it easy to triangulate multiple data sources to find high-level takeaways and prove longitudinal growth. • Allow SLCSD to keep a pulse on initiatives by visualizing data in real time. • Enable SLCSD to disaggregate and filter data by custom attributes such as school or grade level to allow for deeper analysis. • Gather and compare data across multiple points of time to identify evidence of growth and longitudinal impact. • Allow SLCSD to view and organize open-ended responses thematically and quantify qualitative data through tagging features. • Provide smart groupings that triangulate teacher interests, learning styles, and current proficiency toward goals making it easy to plan for future professional learning.
