Phase 1 1. Trim right of ways back a minimum of 3 feet except where otherwise specified from the edge of pavement on roads with two-way traffic and at least 1 foot past the edge of pavement on roads separated by a median. See page 10 for specific problems. Specs and map are NOT a substitute for the awarded vendor patrolling the entire residential street network looking for and removing obstructions. 2. Canopies - Any vegetation extending below a 14-foot height over roads shall be trimmed up to a 14-foot clearance. 3. Trim right of ways such that stop signs are visible up to 200 feet by oncoming traffic. Be sure that fire hydrants are visible and unobstructed. No trees should be removed from the shaded areas, only bushes, brush, and branches. 4. Right of way trimming shall be completed before Fire Wise debris collection begins on April 28, 2025, weather permitting. 5. Contractor may find it easier to carry portions of this debris to the landfill. If so, Town will reimburse tipping fees (minus credit card fees) and the hauling fee quoted below as a cost per ton. Phase 2 1. Contractor will collect and dispose of debris generated from right of way and canopy trimming (any not taken off site during phase 1) along with yard waste from the curbs of participating Fire Wise residences. 2. Contractor must supply a grapple truck or a backhoe with a clamshell bucket to pick debris up and deposit into his trucks or trailers. 3. Provide sufficient labor to collect and remove the debris plus clean up residual debris left over after use of the grapple truck or backhoe. 6. Begin debris collection on April 28th and continue the pickup until the job is completed (weather permitting).
