Scope of Work: 1. Training Topics – The training must cover the following topics: a. Lead Poisoning: Causes, effects, and prevention b. Visual identification of lead hazards c. Lead hazard mitigation options and processes d. Lead-safe work practices e. Lead inspections and certificates f. Renting and maintaining properties in compliance to the rules and regulations governing lead hazard mitigation g. Consequences of non-compliance 2. Practical Guidance – The training must provide the following practical guidance topics: a. Steps to hire licensed contractors for lead-safe repairs b. Preparing for a lead inspection and renewing lead certificates 3. Language Requirements a. The training must be conducted in both English and Spanish in order to accommodate diverse participants. Vendor is responsible for translating all materials, as needed. Please note: Translations should be proofread by a third-party to ensure accuracy. Please specify how you will manage this or if RIDOH will need to manage translation proofreading. b. The training should be provided in plain language and should meet 508 compliance requirements and CLAS standards.
