The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of existing bar screen system and the installation of two (2) new perforated filter screen system assembly fully operational. Work items include: 1. Attend pre-construction meeting with City staff. 2. Verify existing channel dimensions, invert and base floor elevations, angle of incline, and electrical operational voltage in the field. 3. The new equipment shall closely match the existing design. 4. Include any necessary engineering calculations and submittals from the selected equipment manufacturer. 5. File for City electrical permits and schedule electrical inspections, as applicable. 6. Remove two (2) existing bar screens including all accessories. 7. Save bar screens and its accessories for the Owner’s use. 8. Furnish and install two new (2) stainless steel perforated filter screens. 9. Furnish and install two new (2) flow switches. 10. Furnish and install all required electrical control panels, electrical operators, indicators, relays, timers, NEMA local control stations, junction boxes, transformers, controllers, transducers, and switches. All electrical panels shall be NEMA 4X. 11. Furnish and install all necessary mechanical and electrical work to make the system operational. 12. Bid shall include cost of supervision, shipping, off-loading, and field testing of new equipment. 13. Startup shall be performed by a qualified technician. 14. Provide equipment vendor invoice for verification of allowance payment. 15. Provide testing and startup reports. 16. Provide necessary relays and wire new equipment to SCADA. 17. Provide Three-Year extended warranty effective from the startup date.
