The Town of Reading seeks a consultant firm, or individual who will support the MNRHSO and provide affordable housing services and information to member communities and citizens looking to live in our region. Our primary task is monitoring the more than 5,000 affordable housing units in the seven-member communities with the mission of expanding low- and moderate-income housing options. Additional tasks of grant support, education of opportunities, and local aid to member communities are included. The successful firm in this RFP process will have a broad range of experiences working with municipal governments and practical experience with locally administered Affordable Units, their development and their annual maintenance. A committee will evaluate all submissions before the opening of price proposals. The contract will be awarded to the firm that provides the most advantageous proposal based on the technical and price proposals. The Town of Reading reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive any minor informality in the proposal process, and accept the proposal deemed to be in the Town’s best interest.
