The scope of this Contract, including the goods and/or services needed by the City, the statement of the goods and/or services offered by the Contractor, and the City’s acceptance of the Contractor’s statement, are set forth below. Purpose The City is seeking qualified firms to perform HVAC preventative and corrective services for the following categories of services: Category 1 – Small HVAC Systems - Ductless mini-split systems, window units, portable air condensers - typically range from 1.5 to 3 tons (18,000 to 36,000 BTU) for cooling. Category 2 – Medium HVAC Systems - Standard split systems with separate indoor and outdoor units and packaged systems - typically range from 3.5 to 5 tons (37,000 to 60,000 BTU) for cooling. Category 3 – Large HVAC Systems - Large split systems, rooftop units, and central air conditioning systems - typically exceed 5 tons (60,000+ BTU) for cooling. Category 4 – Chiller Systems - May include Air and Water-Cooled Chillers, Compressors, Refrigeration Cycle, etc. as identified in the attached lists of equipment for Austin Convention Center, Austin Public Library, Austin Energy, Austin Water, and Building Services Department. The purpose of this contract is to provide Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) preventative maintenance, as-needed repairs and replacement services. The contracts executed from this solicitation will not be intended for construction-related services that may require the preparation of drawings or plans by a licensed professional architect or engineer or systems at new facilities. The City intends to make multiple awards to establish a qualified list of Contractors based on the proposers’ ability to meet the scope of work requirements, prior experience and qualifications, methodology, and price.
