The vendor shall supply a bulk Sodium Chlorite Blend (SCB) to the Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility (LRWWU) at the Duck Island Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Odor and Corrosion Control: The SCB shall be used to control hydrogen sulfide and other odor causing compounds. The material shall utilize and enhance naturally occurring biochemical and chemical processes to remove hydrogen sulfide and control other odor causing compounds. The SCB shall oxidize hydrogen sulfide and other compounds such as reduced sulfur compounds for odor control. The SCB shall also contain an additive to suppress these odors for long term effectiveness. The SCB shall be a liquid phase product that shall be delivered, stored, and fed into the wastewater via standard liquid phase chemical handling procedures.
