The actual quantity to be purchased per item for this season is unknown. However, for quote purposes the town is requesting a per unit, delivered price based on an estimated quantity. Soil amendments, seed and turf fertilizers must be packaged in 50 lb. bags unless stated otherwise. Material Safety Data Sheet and label information must be provided for all products contained in the quote. Client representative’s requirements: Vendor must be able to provide a representative with a minimum of 5 years of experience in product sales and support of athletic turf, grounds, and parks managers. Representative must commit time to the Superintendent of Parks & Facilities in order to collaboratively evaluate and improve upon the results of the turf management program. The representative must demonstrate competence in: • Educating clients concerning product innovation and technology from green industry manufacturers. • Weed, disease, insect identification and control on athletic fields and lawns. • Turf grass identification and selection on sites with various environmental and logistical conditions. • Collaborative creation of turf programs that would adhere to budget and procurement guidelines. • Interpretation of soil, water testing, and application recommendations according to test results. • Assistance with all aspects of ordering, application methods, application equipment needs, vendors, data handling and general questions.
