Requirements for Software provided by the Firm include, but are not limited to: follow-me printing at any local printing device (printers), on-demand print driver installation, and data collection based on individual and group printing. The Service should offer the ability to support staff and students and should have the ability to work across multiple device platforms such as iOS, MacOS, and Windows11. The service should allow Omaha Public Schools users to install print drivers, select local printers from any nearby location, and print to said local printers. Administrators should have access to data such as both user print cost and quantity, as well as the ability to manage printers at the local and district level. Firm will be required to complete and sign the District’s standard Data Protection Agreement (DPA) upon acceptance of the awarded RFP (Exhibit B). The Software will need to allow for district-wide printer permissions management. The Software should allow for users to be granted rights to printers and/or copiers based on their physical site. All 100+ sites within the district should have their own list of available printers/copiers. The Software should allow users to select from a list of local printers/copiers and facilitate installation of the necessary print drivers to be able to utilize said printer/copier. The Software should also collect pertinent data on printing habits by user, which can then be grouped to show trends over time at various sites. Additionally, the Software should have the ability to re-direct print jobs over certain thresholds based on size or quantity. Those jobs will be redirected to the district Printing and Publication Department.
