Contractor shall resurface (apply new friction material) and refurbish various brake shoe assemblies for STA transit buses. 4.2 All brake shoe assemblies shall be lined with Marathon KVT brake blocks or STA approved equal. 4.3 Brake shoe assembly refurbishing shall consist of: a. Brake shoe cores shall be cleaned and inspected to assure compliance with manufacturer’s specifications. b. Replacement of: i. All anchor pins and bushings; ii. Rollers, when flat-spotted; and iii. O-rings/seals, when worn or damaged. c. Proper torque as per manufacturer’s specifications. d. Mark each finished brake shoe assembly with Contractor and STA part numbers. 4.4 Resurfaced/refurbished brake shoe assemblies shall be delivered to STA and stocked on STAprovided shelves by Contractor once per week or upon notification from STA Purchasing personnel. All deliveries shall be verified by STA Purchasing personnel prior to Contractor placing product on shelves. Contractor shall provide STA with an itemized packing slip of all products delivered. 4.5 Contractor shall pick up brake shoe assembly cores from STA bi-weekly or upon notification from STA Purchasing personnel. Contractor must verify quantities & models of brake shoe assembly cores and provide STA with an itemized core receipt signed by STA Purchasing personnel prior to Contractor departing STA property
