1.3 SCOPE OF WORK The college is seeking specific values in solar PV production to be installed on the roof of the Office Classroom Building (OCB); Meter (16190562) Attachment B. See attachments for available roof space for solar array on building. The College is looking for long term energy solutions. The intent is to maximize the value via a design/build approach where the bidder will provide the design and engineering specs based on the specific PV solar sizes. This system will tie into the respective building’s electrical system with the intent of entering a Net Metered agreement with Evergy. Installations of this project will begin after a JCCC Purchase order is issued. NOTE - NABCEP certification is required. The building structural analysis currently for solar PV systems has the allowance for 7psf load using ASCE10-16 and Wind Exposure B. See Attachment C. Electrical connection must tie directly back into main electrical panel on first Floor. Design & Pre-Install 1. System design by bidding solar engineer. Submit design for structural (as supplied by JCCC Attachment C) and electrical engineering stamps as required. Any structural engineering needed beyond what is supplied in Attachment C must be obtained by the awarded contractor. 2. Submit system design to utility company for approval of Net Metering. Interconnection application submitted to utility company. 3. All project permits filed and submitted. 4. Installation scheduled with client. Installation 1. Install 2. System test performed for proper function. 3. Inspections scheduled if needed. 4. Submit necessary documentation to utility company. Post-Installation 1. Utility company inspection integrations 2. Contractor completes final system checks, energizes system, and provides operational walk-thru with clients 3. Contractor provides system monitoring and alerts training, and documentation.
