Provide part-time services (approximately 8 hours/week plus an additional 4 hours/week for one week per month) on-site at the Potomac Center facility in Hagerstown, Maryland. The job duties of this position will include lifeguard services overseeing the use of the indoor pool by the residents of the Potomac Center facility and/or patients from Western Maryland Hospital Center, providing CPR/First Aid as required, performing safety checks, cleaning of the pool, pool decks, and bathrooms, and monitoring/adjusting pool chemicals as needed to ensure water quality/safety. The Potomac Center is a residential care facility for developmentally disabled adults who may have co-existing mental disorders. The Potomac Center is licensed for up to sixty-two (62) individuals. All required services shall be provided in compliance with licensure, certification, and accreditation standards, including but not limited to, the Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectually Disabled (ICF/ID) standards of the Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ), Maryland Department of Health, as well as all applicable Maryland and Federal Laws and regulations governing Lifeguards and Certified Pool Operators.
