The Project includes the following Work: The work consists of four main projects: headworks channel equipment replacement, odor control equipment pad work, odor control equipment and ancillary piping, and the implementation of a primary clarifier geodesic dome cover system. The headworks building contains two channels, each has a mechanical channel screen and washpactor system. This equipment is to be removed and disposed of, and client procured equipment to be installed in its place, no major channel modifications are anticipated. New odor control ducting needs to be installed and routed to the new, contractor supplied, Carbon Odor Control System. A new odor control equipment pad site needs to be constructed, utilizing concrete retaining walls to provide a level hard surfaced area between the existing headworks building and primary clarifier. This equipment is to service both the headworks and primary clarifier structures. The installation of a contractor supplied, vendor installed, geodesic dome cover. Electrical work within the dome is the contractor’s responsibility. Coordination with the dome cover supplier and client needs to be maintained to adequately provide adequate space for assembly of the cover and then the installation of the cover system. Note that there are multiple power lines next to the primary clarifier that will need to be considered when choosing a location for the dome cover construction
