3.1 General MHA is accepting quotes for turnover unit painting (vacant units) General • Contractor is responsible for providing all labor and materials except paints, which will be provided by the MHA, as listed below o Water based primer o Oil based primer o Ceiling paint o Wall paint o Floor and porch paint • Protect all floors and surfaces not scheduled for painting. • All surfaces shall be properly prepared to accept new finish. • Wall and ceiling repair and preparation is to be figured into the per unit price as follows o Efficiency and 1 bedroom units 2 hours o 2, 3 & 4 bedroom units 4 hours o 5 & 6 bedroom units 8 hours o An additional coat per room cost per unit o An additional unit prep and repair price per hour • Contractor is responsible clean up paint splatter Ceilings shall receive the following: • Apply one (1) spot prime coat of latex topcoat to all patched surfaces • Apply one (1) oil prime coat to any water stained surfaces. • Apply one (1) finish coat of paint. Walls, doors and trim shall receive the following: • Apply one (1) spot prime coat of latex topcoat to all patched surfaces • Apply one (1) oil prime coat to any water stained surfaces. • Apply one (1) finish coat of paint.
