UMMS is seeking a vendor to perform AR Management services in up to four areas of focus. You may bid on some or all of these areas of focus. • General AR Management – to act as an extension of our business office providing follow up, collection, and appeal services. Payer mix and placement volume will vary to suit the needs of the business. • Complex Claims: Motor Vehicle Accident – to identify MVA accounts and other coverage and act as an extension of our business office providing follow up, collection, and appeal services. • Complex Claims: Worker’s Compensation - to identify WC accounts and other coverage and act as an extension of our business office providing follow up, collection, and appeal services. • Complex Claims: Veteran’s Administration - to identify VA accounts and other coverage and act as an extension of our business office providing follow up, collection, and appeal services. • Complex Claims: Coordination of Benefits – address patient involvement issues such as Medicare open segments, coordination of benefits, and forms (such as Tricare TPL form, CareFirst accident form, coordination or benefit questionnaires). Follow up, collection, and appeal services includes (but is not limited to): • Contact with insurance companies (via portal, phone, email, etc.) when appropriate and working collaboratively with UMMS to address payer issues when appropriate. • Contact with patients as needed to resolve accounts • Status and coverage updates in Epic • Working collaboratively with UMMS to address coding, charging, and claim issues
