3. SCOPE OF WORK: The City of Compton is requesting a proposal from qualified vendors to furnish and deliver chlorine chemicals including: A. Chlorine chemicals (Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5%) shall be furnished in strict compliance with the current version AWWA standards and shall be NSF certified as a drinking water treatment chemical. a. All bids must be accompanied by a complete analysis of constituents within the chlorine along with a copy of the NSF certification. B. Chlorine chemical is to be furnished and delivered at specific location(s). C. All deliveries shall include removal of empty containers from site. D. All deliveries shall be accompanied by proof of NSF certification. E. Deliveries shall be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance by the Compton Municipal Water Department (CMWD). F. Delivery information, to be provided prior to and during each delivery, shall include at a minimum truck/tractor ID/registration, driver ID/license and any other information as deemed appropriate. Failure to provide information required during a delivery may result in rejection of said delivery. G. Deliveries shall only be accepted between 8:00am to 2:00pm., Monday through Friday, unless scheduled otherwise by Compton Municipal Water Department (CMWD). H. Delivery location(s) will be disclosed to the awarded vendor. I. Should a leak develop while a chlorine cylinder is in CMWD’s possession, it will be capped using an Emergency Kit. The vendor will be required to respond within 24 hours with their own Emergency Kit and remove the cylinder from the site. J. All demurrage charges shall be the responsibility of the vendor and/or its agent(s). K. Vendor is to provide current unit price per container on the Bidder’s Sheet. Invoices shall be submitted on a monthly basis. Payments are typically made within 30 days of receipt of invoice.
