● Contractors can schedule a pre bid meeting with the Construction Project Specialist prior to bidding the project. ● Contractor shall verify measurements and quantities provided with this scope of work, all quantities provided are approximate. ● Existing flooring will be removed under another contract.. ● Furnish and install approximately 1,450 SF of carpet tile in IMC. ● Carpet tile shall be Mohawk Group, Side Strip Series, 566 Central. ● Furnish and install approximately 30 SF of luxury vinyl tile in the IMC restroom. ● Luxury vinyl tile shall be Mohawk Group Matuto Plus Stone Series - 915A Frostbite Stone. ● New Johnsonite #40 black 4” vinyl cove base shall be installed in all areas receiving new flooring. Base shall be installed in areas that currently have base. ● Prepare subsurface to receive new flooring materials by filling in control joins, holes, indentations, etc. with latex cement underlayment compound compatible with flooring adhesives as per manufacturer recommendations. ● Install flooring and base in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. ● Fit all joints tightly. ● Roll the floor with a heavy roller to attain full adhesion. ● Install transition strips where flooring materials change. ● Protect all school property from damage. Any damage by the contractor shall be reported to the project manager and repairs shall be made immediately at the contractor’s expense. ● Perform necessary cleaning at the end of each day to ensure a clean and safe work area.
