1.0 Uniform Rental, Lease and Direct Sale 1.1 The Citadel is seeking a vendor to supply The Citadel with a uniform rental contract and a direct sale of uniforms. All fees that are not identified in this contract that an offeror charges its customer base must be aggregated into the weekly uniform rental cost. 1.2 The specification herein covers provisions for the best uniform rental, maintenance and direct sale with The Citadel. The offeror shall include the cost for cleaning the uniform, pressing, repairs/alteration, and Uniform size changes, replacement of soiled / damaged uniforms, employee fittings, all-labor, transportation, equipment and material necessary to provide the required level of service. 1.3 All garments issued to Citadel employees shall be unworn and new. Uniforms in service with thirty (30) calendar months or clothing that is severely worn out due to normal wear and tear and those that have lost color due to deterioration shall be taken out of service and replaced with new unworn uniforms to The Citadel employees. Any uniform article that is damaged beyond repair shall be replaced by the offeror to The Citadel’s employee after it has been approved by the Contracts Manager at a prorated discounted rate for that clothing article the replacement of articles of clothing should not exceed (21) calendar days. A pro-rated clothing article schedule shall be provided in this solicitation. The offeror should also note on the prorate schedule for the same clothing items a unit price for the articles that are damaged beyond economic repair or use that is a fair market value. The Citadel is seeking two (2) styles of uniform types. 1.4 The Category types are as follows: i. Executive wear – Direct sale / Lease Program ii. Work Wear - Direct sale / Lease program iii. Utilities wear - Rental
