1. Fayette County Public Schools is soliciting proposals for Virtual Reality Use of Force/De-escalation Trainer for the Law enforcement Program at the new Hub for Innovative Learning & Leadership (The HILL) opening in August 2025 and located at: The HILL 100 Midland Ave Lexington, KY 40508 2. Price must include shipping and set-up where applicable at school. 3. Local vendors are preferred so that local service technicians are available when needed. 4. Quantity: One ( 1) full simulator with one instructor control centers and two VR Trainee headsets. 5. Includes industry standard simulated lethal and less-lethal systems for two (2) trainees integrated into the system, more specifically Glock 17 handgun, Taser 7 or 10, MK.III size OC, that function in a realistic manner. 6. Designed specifically for training students/recruits/officers on appropriate use of force, de-escalation, weapons management, and crisis intervention responses through the use of scenarios during varying lighting, location, and environmental conditions. 7. Simulator must not require external tracking systems, external screens for environments, nor be tethered to the control system, but should be fully encapsulated in the VR headset system, and scalable to the available environment. 8. Simulator must support the use of either one (1) or more officers within the scenarios or training evolutions. 9. Simulator must be portable and include rugged transport cases for VR systems, instructor control interface, simulated weapons, and other required items. 10. Simulator should include pre-loaded scenarios to address varying level of force response, crisis intervention, and de-escalation as encountered in daily law enforcement duties. 11. Scenarios must have the ability to be customized by the user to meet specific training goals and learning objectives. 12. Simulator should provide ability for after action review and ability to broadcast same to a large screen for viewing by all participants. 13. Simulator system shall include all required hardware and network interface equipment for end use. 14. Simulator system shall have the ability to be expanded if desired in the future to include additional officers or role players. 15. Training of all features and aspects of the system, to include care and maintenance, shall be provided in person. 16. Computer & Control System: PC or tablet architecture with off-the -shelf components for ease of maintenance and minimizing cost of repairs/parts .. No wired IT connection is needed. 17. System Growth: Allows for future upgrades, expanded software performance, additional interactive courseware and training exercise simulation packages available with ability for reconfiguration (expand to additional headsets). 18. Full-Service Warranty & Maintenance: Minimum of two years included in purchase price. Includes repair or replacement of all defective parts and components. The cost of shipping parts out and bringing them back from the clients location. Customer Service support is available via email and phone. Remove diagnostic via internet. Software and Hardware updates are included. Additional Extended warranty years available for purchase.
