II. BACKGROUND or GENERAL INFORMATION and Purpose: Formalin treatments need to be conducted three days a week on all eggs being incubated at Willamette Hatchery. The range that Formalin is effective against fungus is between 1:600 to 1:400. The current delivery system being used at Willamette is not acute enough to deliver the required rate on a constant and reliable basis. A new system that is consistent and reliable needs to be installed. III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION, DESCRIPTION OF WORK and TASKS: The contractor will install and calibrate a new chemical treatment system capable of providing the required treatment rate need for Formalin treatments. The contractor shall be responsible for all necessary equipment, labor, and expertise to ensure the successful completion of this project. TASKS: Contractor will: 1. Procure and deliver a chemical treatment system capable of accurately dosing Formalin at the required treatment rate. 2. Install the chemical treatment system at the ODFW designated location, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and operational guidelines. 3. Perform system calibration to ensure precise dosing and optimal performance. 4. Conduct necessary tests and validations to confirm system functionality and efficiency. 5. Provide training to ODFW staff on system operation, maintenance, and safety protocols. ODFW will: 1. Ensure access to the site 2. Review and approve system design before installation begins. 3. Assist in scheduling installation and testing activities. 4. Provide personnel for training and ensure staff are available for operational readiness. 5. Conduct a final review of system performance before acceptance.
