a) Provide legal advice to the Board as needed. b) Land Acquisitions, Condemnations, Boundary Disputes, etc. c) Planning and Zoning issues d) Insurance (Risk & Liability) issues e) County Ordinance, Contracts, etc. as needed or directed f) Ability to represent the Board on various General Counsel Issues that may require review, analysis, investigation and research as necessary for the County. The Attorney or Law firm will also be requested to meet at the minimum these qualifications: a) Licensed as an attorney in the State of Georgia. b) Have had no public disciplinary action taken upon the license. c) Experience and ability in Georgia Law and Code. d) Defense of professional liability actions (board members and/or employees). e) Administrative Law. f) Be available for a number of hours to carry out the directions of the Board. g) Be able to attend 44-45 board meetings during the year, in addition to special-called meetings that may arise at any given time.
