The purpose of this procurement is for the creation of a Comprehensive Plan document. The previous Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1996, with various area plans adopted in the interim. Staff anticipates this Comprehensive Plan document will include goals and objectives for the next ten (10) years. City staff has begun this process by undertaking a sub-area study approach. This includes the recent Uptown Master Plan, adopted in 2025 (project link). Given this work, the Comprehensive Plan will not require further investigation in this area but should incorporate and build upon this plan document through the Comprehensive Plan’s implementation chapter. Other commercial sub-areas of Park Ridge are in need of analysis and long-range planning.
