a. The Contractor will provide on-site calibration and preventative maintenance for DWR’s electronic and manual single-channel and multi-channel laboratory pipettes. i. Preventative maintenance must include inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and leak testing of the pipettes. ii. The Contractor will calibrate the pipettes to adhere to the original pipette manufacturer’s accuracy and precision specifications. b. The Contractor will replace worn, defective, or damaged parts found during inspection. i. Parts purchased for this contract will be charged at cost plus 10%. Receipts of those parts must be included with the invoice. ii. Seals and O-rings should be replaced each time with parts according to OEM specifications. c. The Contractor must conduct performance verification of the serviced pipettes after inspection, maintenance, and calibration, including at least four test weighings at 10% and 100% volumes each for each pipette, as returned to DWR. d. The Contractor must provide National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable calibration documentation for serviced pipettes upon request by the DWR Contract Manager. e. The Contractor will provide a standard calibration certificate for the pipettes serviced. The calibration certificate will, at minimum, list: i. Pipette information: type and identification (such as serial number). ii. Information about how the pipette was tested, including date. iii. Pipette test results and data. iv. Calibration service information: including calibration company contact information and technician name. f. The Contractor will coordinate with the DWR Contract Manager to schedule maintenance to minimize disruption to ongoing DWR laboratory work.
