3.1 Project Environment: 3.1.1 The furniture will be located in an area that is exposed to the elements 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year. 3.1.2 The third-floor balcony is in a “wind tunnel” area, with no shaded areas and no awnings. This area is used both as an event space and an outdoor smoking area for PBA patrons. 3.1.3 A neutral color palette is preferred. 3.1.4 Powder-coated metal options will be considered. No fabrics. 3.1.5 Existing furniture will be removed by PBA Operations Staff and is not included in this bid. 3.2 Outdoor Furniture Quality Requirements: 3.2.1 New, undamaged furniture items 3.2.2 Finishes from the manufacturer’s standard collection 3.2.3 Class A Fire Rating 3.2.4 Meets or exceeds ANSI/BIFMA tests 3.2.5 Durable/sturdy materials that are wind-resistant; metal powder-coated construction is preferred; no light-weight plastic furniture will be considered 3.2.6 Weather-resistant 3.2.7 Wind and sun-damage resistant 3.2.8 Rust-resistant 3.2.9 Water drainage capabilities 3.3 Warranty 3.3.1 Preference will be given to items with robust warranty coverage. Coverage of 12 years or more/lifetime warranty on metal components is preferred.
