Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU), a municipal power distributor, is requesting bids for a labor and equipment only contract incorporating unit pricing for installation of conduits of various sizes, either by boring or trenching, over a three-year period with possibility for two (2) one-year extensions. The placement of conduit, transformer pads, small junction boxes, below ground splice boxes, secondary pedestals, and other related duties detailed within these specifications shall be the responsibility of the contractor as well. Scope includes any boring/trenching needs that arise within the timeframe proposed for this contract; however, specific projects may still be bid at OMU’s discretion. While no specified scope of definite footages or installation projects will be provided herein, historically, previous contracts have, on average, eclipsed $200,000 per year.
