North Clackamas School District (NCSD) is soliciting proposals (RFP) for a Wireless Voice Communication System to enhance communication among staff and establish multiple layers of support across all campuses and district facilities. This project is part of a district-wide initiative to improve communications with all stakeholders during day-to-day operations and emergency situations. The district is seeking a robust communication system that will improve safety, efficiency, and collaboration among our 2,310 employees. The selected system will provide a scalable, secure, and innovative solution that goes beyond traditional walkie-talkies and panic buttons. 1. Communication capabilities ● Direct communication 1:1 ● Group communication with workflow integration (i.e., safety team, emergency response team, building administrative team, district executive team) ● Personal device should be lightweight, wearable technology ● Hands-free capability (i.e. Bluetooth) ● Do not disturb capabilities ● “Override” communication capabilities ● Cell phone integration capabilities ● “Off-campus” communication capabilities. ● Ability to contact local law enforcement with ability to enable or disable this function ● Broadcast capabilities to alert a group or the entire facility or Standard response protocols ( Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter); 2.
