Painting maintenance services include but are not limited to: wall preparation, fire tape and mud work, graffiti removal, multiple coat painting, spray gun painting, metal surface preparation, surface feathering and color mixing. All painting contractors must have supervisors and workers lead certified, through a certified lead abatement training program although services will not include lead testing or abatement. It is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure and maintain current certification of all staff and supervisors. Lead certification is for awareness and containment purposes, not meant for general abatement. Some DPH sites may require site-specific hazardous materials training for awareness and handling prior to performing work.
