The Division of Wildlife Resources is seeking to hire a helicopter and ground crew to fly six boss tank guzzlers and materials to six locations, and guzzler apron materials for two additional locations. Am Project Locations: The project is located at two different staging areas. One is located on the south end of the Wasatch Mountain range, located south of Salem, UT. The other staging area is on the west side of the San Pitch Mountains, near Wales, UT. (See maps) We will be flying in 6 guzzler tanks, apron materials for 8 guzzlers, and fencing materials to 6 of the guzzler sites. The sites are remote and the contractor will also need to fly one of their crew members into the site first so that they can detach the materials from the helicopter. As a result, there will need to be a total of 16 flights from the Salem locations and 12 flights from the Wales location. The distance from the staging area to each guzzler varies. For 7 of the sites, the distance is approximately 4 miles, and for one of the sites, it will be approximately 8 miles. For the exact locations of guzzler sites and staging areas see maps and files attached. Specifications: The guzzler tanks are solid fiberglass tanks that weigh approximately 800 lbs. 6 locations will need tanks flown in. Two locations already have tanks on-site. The second load consists of roofing materials and metal posts that must be lifted to each site to build aprons that also weigh approximately 800 lbs. This load will be for all 8 locations. A third load of wood fencing materials weighing approximately 800 lbs will be flown into 6 locations. Once all the materials have been delivered to the sites, DWR, USFS, and volunteers will install the guzzlers.
