Maize USD 266 is requesting bids for Maize Central and Pray Woodman Elementary Gym floor sanding, painting and finishing. The item(s) contained in this bid shall conform to all standards including warning labels and safety devices, guards, and equipment required to meet the safety standards established by any jurisdiction recognized by industry safety councils or organizations to establish safety standards. The sanding of the floor shall be done in such a manner as to remove all existing gym finish, paints, soils and stains. The sanding shall smooth the floor and remove any uneven areas from the floor. Edges and corners shall be hand edged so all exposed areas of the floor will be uniform in color. The customer will provide a dumpster close to the gym for disposal of sanding dust and used paper by the contractor. The contractor shall vacuum the floor with a heavy-duty commercial vacuum, to remove all dust from the floor and cracks between the boards, upon completion of job. The customer shall be responsible for clean up of the areas outside of the playing surface. The customer should take every precaution to keep the dust from flowing to other areas of the building.
